Serpentine Pavillion 2010 Opening

Design / Concept

Jean Nouvel's summer Pavillion opened at the Serpentine Gallery with a party that attracted over 800 VIP guests from the worlds of art, fashion, literature and music.

The party featured an 18-metre LED wall sponsored by Jaguar, which was briefed to be 'the heartbeat of the party'. For it, I designed a suite of content telling the stories of ten years of summer pavilions, 40 years of the Serpentine Gallery and 75 years of Jaguar.

As Jean Nouvel's inspiration for the Pavillion was British design icons this connection became an integral concept for the wall. The animation illustrated this metaphor flowing from classic Jaguar, through to modern Pavillion with an energy that mirrored that of the party.
